Bought Mini-Mister Fans at Walmart this weekend!

I saw these yesterday at my local WM. We'll probably get the bigger one though. I can just see us refilling that little thing every 10 minutes.

Yes, I saw these at Wal-Mart and thought the water area looked so tiny, that I just couldn't imagine it doing much good. And the plastic cover comes off all the way, so I could see it being lost so very easily. I was also worried about it not sealing well and leaking all over our backpack. So, I got the small misty-mates instead. We'll try these along with the small fans (a kind with no water) and see how that goes.

Rustysmom - WE FOUND THEM at Rite Aid last night!!! Thank you for suggesting checking there!

They only had 4 left and we bought 2 of them. The total was $7.50ish for the 2. We tried them when we got home and they seem to work really well. We're fine with refilling them at water fountains throughout the parks because we don't expect to be using them constantly, just every so often to cool down.

hehe something else to add to my list! I really hope walmart has them when I check. Now just a completely random question while we are talking about walmart. Do they sell those cheap clear plastic ponchos? and what section are they in? Sorry if thats off topic but I figure someone prolly knows off the top of their head.

They do and they're around the umbrellas. I got our's though from Dollar Tree--a 2 pack at that for $1.

I found the cheap clear poncho's in the sporting goods section at my Walmart. I am considering taking a compact umbrella instead of the ponchos cuz once you open them you can never get them folded back up and they will be wet. I am also going to look for the mini fans this week cuz we are going in June. But, we are from Texas so am used to the good old heat!

You're welcome! I check Dollar Tree for whatever I can first then I hit Wal-Mart. Mine are both in the same parking lot/shopping area. I need to go back and get dd a child's poncho now. I didn't do it with the two adult ones because I was SURE she had a My Little Pony poncho at home and I can't find it for the life of me.

I want to say the ones I've seen at Wal-Mart were around $5. They were in the same location by the registers with the umbrellas and stuff. I've seen them at Family Dollar for a little less and like I posted earlier, a two pack for $1 at Dollar Tree!

I used the o2cool handheld one last year. They are really nice lightweight and the misting water does go a long way. We would only refill about daily but would only remember to use it every once and a while. If you have a little one (DS was just turning 3 last year) the foam blades can rip off easily. DS had ripped off one of the blades while DH was watching him while I was on a ride. I think I may try to find 2 misting fans this year.

Oh, and I had to make my near daily Wal-Mart stop on the way home from work today and looked at the ponchos. They are individual ponchos in a matching mesh & plastic carry tote for $3 and come in nifty colors, including lime green

I didn't check my camping section though as another poster suggested as the camping section at my local store leaves ALOT to be desired. I'm in Podunk, MS, remember?

Went to Walmart last night and got my misting fans. Got home and tried it out and it really puts off more air than I thought it would.

We bought some of these last year and they worked wonderful! Even filled with water they are lightweight and really did the trick when it was hot. So much easier than carrying those huge bottle ones!
On a 7 day trip we did not wear one out and only replaced one battery for my sons, he was the official mister of our group! We were not constantly refilling them either that little bit of water goes along way. Make sure you remove the plug when you store them away for the next trip.
Best $$ we have spent for WDW stuff in a long time.

I found ponchos at Target this weekend for $0.89 each. They aren't clear (red, blue, green), but they'll do the trick. They were with the camping stuff. They are called emergency ponchos. Even though they don't really fold back up, we just got a bunch of them... for $0.89 you really can't go wrong!

I found the rain ponchos at the Dollar Store. They did come in a 2-pack for a buck! Woohoo.

Our Dollar Tree had the ponchos in a 2-pack too, one clear and one red (but see-thru). We'll use the red ones for the kids, so they will be easier to spot, and just knot up the corners if they're too long.

Hope our WalMart or Rite Aid has the misters. The boys will love them!
