I bought each of us 10-day MYW base tickets. Is it possible to upgrade them to non-expiration? (and/or, perhaps add water and fun option?)

If so, how do I do this?

How will the additional amount be determined? I paid $230 for each adult, but I noticed on the Disney website, it says that a 10-day base ticket is $210... did I get jipped? (or is this some kind of advance purchase discount?) The 10-day non-expiry shows $345 on the DW website (yet $365 on swa).

I'm afraid to ask SWA to change it, as I don't want my package to be cancelled and rebooked (without dining).

Help!

:thanks:

As I understand it, the $20 savings btwn Disney and SW is an "advance purchase" discount. I know you can add non-expiring once you're there, and I think you can add water parks+, but you do lose that advance purchase discount. However, since you're not getting the discount anyway, it shouldn't make any difference. I'd call Disney and ask them.

I know what you mean about losing the free dining. We added 2 days to our trip and I must have asked the poor CM on the phone 3 or 4 times if it was going to mess up our free dining. I still don't think I'll stop worrying about it until I get the documents in the mail!

There are no advance purchase discounts on any length base tickets. SW is free to charge you whatever they want for the tickets. FYI, the prices you quote from the Disney site do not include tax. If you add in the 6.5% tax, you're up to $223.65 for the 14 day expire and $367.43 for the non expiration.

As to your question about adding non-expiration and/or Water Park Fun & More, the answer is yes, you can do that. Both are a flat fee. The WPF&M will cost you $50 plus tax per ticket, the original price you paid for the ticket having no effect. Adding the no expiration to a 10 day base will cost you $135 plus tax per ticket. Both must be added within the 14 days of first use time frame.

If you had purchased the WPF&M on your base ticket in advance directly from Disney, you would have been eligible for a small advance purchase discount on the ticket. Not sure whether you would get it when purchasing through SW though.

That answers my questions... thanks!
