Bought Disney Store Tickets today....

I am sooooooooo excited. We purchased our Disney Tickets today and I am more excited today than ever about our upcoming trip! (if that is possible) Anyhow, they are the credit card type which is why we drove 2 hours to the closest Disney Store to get them. We were going to order from Ticketmania but they were the paper type and we preferred the credit card type. The difference was $26...I believe. Hated to spend the extra $ but we really like this type. Just had to tell you all...........

It is exciting, isnt it? I remember last year feeling absolutely giddy walking out of the Disney store after buying our tickets! I wasnt sure if I would be able to get them there again for our upcoming trip since they have switched to the "Magic your way" tickets?

No, we bought them there last year and they are automatically activated at the register. We wondered if we would be able to get them there again as well as Rootskate...but they still have them even though they switched to the Magic Your Way tickets. They have a different color with a different character on each different option.

Basic Magic Your Way Ticket...Orange with ? Character
Magic Your Way with Park Hopping...Blue with Minnie Mouse
Magic Your Way Plus...etc....Magic Your Way Premium...etc.

Sorry but I can't remember any of the colors or characters on the ones we didn't get. I think purple was one of them. I do remember that "Goofy" and "Mickey" were on a couple as well.

I got mine last month from ticketmania and they were the credit card type. I got the 7 day that expire. I got some with pluses and some without. They looked just like the old type with characters on the front.

We just went to the Disney store yesterday to buy our tickets too. We got the base tickets which are orange with Donald Duck on them. We were disappointed that we couldn't add the no expiration option at the Disney store. They told us we could do that at the gate.

We called and got the MYW 7 Day Park Hoppers w/ Dining option. Will we receive these in the mail before our trip or will we get them when we check into Pop Century?

We tried to get our tickets from TDS as well, but they only sell up to the 7 day ticket and we need the 10 day. The store manager didn't even know a 10 day ticket was available and tried to argue with me about it.

The dining option is not actually a ticket option, it is a package add-on tied to resort room stays. Your park tickets and dining option will be encoded onto your room key when you check-in. Think of the dining option as having pre-paid vouchers, but instead of paper vouchers the number of meals is electronicaly encoded onto your room key.

Does anyone know how to find where there is a Disney store near you? I looked on the Disney sight, but all I'm finding is to order merchandise online. I need to get my friend her tickets, as I already have mine and don't want to wait till we get to Orlando. Thanks!

I had trouble finding a store locator also. Go to http://disney.store.go.com/ (or do a google search for the disney store). The website is primarily an online catalog and looks like there is no info on physical stores. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen where it says help. Click on Guest Services and a menu will pop up. About a third way down the list is "Disney Store locator".

The Disney Stores are now owned by The Childrens Place. You can use the store locator at their web site. Our local Disney Store appeared on the list, but there's nothing to specifically identify it as a "Disney Store." You'll probably want to call before you actually go to confirm that they have Disney park tickets.

Or better yet, just order from www.waltdisneyworld.com, or a third-party vendor like www.ticketmania.com.
