recipes please, especially ones that use a lot of apples! I’ve made applesauce and crisp yum!

4 apples peeled and sliced
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1tsp of cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
2tbs water
1tbs butter.

Mix first 4 ingredients in ziplock bag and shake.

On stove mix water and butter. Poor in apple mixture and let stew for 5-10 minutes. Warm cinnamon apples. Great with pork.

Apple cinnamon bread or monkey bread,

Apple cinnamon rolls - I do a sorta pineapple upside down cake style, cover the bottom of the pan in butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and apple slices, I use a mandolin to get them the same size and super thin, I also use some apples in the cinnamon roll mixture itself, you can cheat and use frozen cinnamon rolls too.

Apple pie or hand pies, Pioneer woman I used her recipe for blueberry hand pies, replacing apples for the blueberry... pastry sheets make this really easy peasy. Its a favorite in my wheel house now..

Waldorf salad - there are a lot of basic recipes for this dish, It one of my go to dishes for potlucks, or bring a dish get together's... I make it during the holiday and add in cranberries and the bowl is always empty, and is requested often.

Apple freezer jam I use my grandmother recipes but it started with a Betty Crocker recipe you can find online,

Baked apples - core, filling the core with butter, cinnamon sugar, cover with pastry dough if you want - also you can bake and baste with apple cider, serve with vanilla ice cream and use the warm apple cider out of the pan to use as a sauce to drizzle over the ice cream... so yummy...

You can add them into salads, in stuffing or dressing.

This is a friend of mines recipe... she make apple sausage, she gets the butcher to grind up a couple of pork butts, and then she does the seasoning herself, apples, a little fennel, salt, pepper, and either maple syrup or maple flavoring or both go into the mixture.... not sure of the rest, she use it for biscuit and gravy, makes appetizer meatballs with BBQ sauce that she makes and is on the savory side.

keep eating them! I love fresh apples We just plowed through 12 pounds of fresh apples in a few days here in our house..... and then I used the ;last few to make a crisp...I keep meaning to make applesauce but they never last long enough

If you have freezer space, freeze some pie fillings to use throughout the season. Just mix all ingredients for a pie filling and put in freezer bags. When you want to bake a pie, you just have to put it in a crust and bake.

i've never tried this How do the apples hold up? :)

I recently made apple peel syrup from leftover applesauce peels and it was delicious. I also freeze applesauce. I put it in freezer bags and lay them flat in the freezer. I defrost it by putting the bag in the fridge overnight.

They do very well, at least in my experience. I use more sugar than most recipes call for which helps preserve the filling and improves the consistency of the pie. If a recipe calls for 3/4 cup sugar, I use 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 c depending on the type of apples. I used to waste a lot of time making pies that had a thin, watery liquid with hard apples until my mom showed me that in her old cookbook from the 1940s it called for twice the amount of sugar as my recipe. Since then I've made apple pies that get rave reviews, and now you know my secret :D

Apple muffins in all forms (you can do apple cinnamon, zucchini apple, carrot apple, blueberry apple, etc)...
Apple pancakes with a "fried" apple topping (ala Cracker Barrel's fried apples)

Baked chicken meatball with shredded apple, sage, egg, and stuffing mix or bread crumb (and salt/pepper) - 20 minutes at 400 in cupcake tins...
