Kay so here is the deal....

friend of mine stayed POP in Aug of 08 told me about it went to POFQ in Sept 08 didn't have an offer on last day I called the front desk and w/ some pleading they sent me over to BB call center. They offered me free dining.

Flashforward to today (w/ a side note of that we went to POP in Dec and had a bouceback offer for 30% off deluxes...I didn't think to cancel the original BB and rebook) :surfweb: So I noticed on here that people were talking about 30% off BB so I thought well maybe I should call and see if there was anything I can do....if BB is only on the room rate it would be a savings of $250+ if it's on tickets and dining it would be even more. Well the CM put me on hold for a while (I was getting hopeful!) and she came back and said that since I wasn't currently at disney there was nothing I could do.

I know from being on here that people call CM get one answer call back and get another. I know that free dining is a good offer I am just really bummed thats 250+ bucks I am not saving.

What are your thoughts! So do I call back try a different CM if still no maybe ask for a supervisor, or just admit defeat.

TIA

To be honest, I think your chances are bad. I've read stories of multiple people being able to change things after coming home, including adding days and switching resorts, but all of them had already booked SOMETHING with that particular BB-code while on site. One of the most important rules to be able to book the BB-code is to book it while being onsite. With you actually wanting to make the first booking after checking out, I'm doubtfull if they will or even can help you out, supervisor or not.

By the way, the BB offered at the moment is for room only for september. Only 30% off of mods and deluxes and 40% of DCV, but for a shorter time frame (not during september for instance).

How many of you will be there next year september anyway? When staying at a mod, free dining can be much more attractive for a family, depending on age, numbers etc. If youre family would use the dining package anyway, free dining might actually be more attractive anyway.

she came back and said that since I wasn't currently at disney there was nothing I could do.

I would be very surprised if they would allow you to book a bounceback offer when you checked out last September.
It's not even the same bb offer. And all offers have set booking and travel dates.

Seems like most want free dining over 30% off. :confused3

The discount is on the room only, NOT tickets OR dining. And this is no differant then if someone didnt book anything and called a month later trying to get the BB. Not gonna happen

funny, I did it today.....it CAN happen.I was at AKL 12-12 TILL 12-19 and tried to book the bounceback..the person I spoke with had NO clue what she was doing.I sent a e mail last week about it and a very nice lady called me today and gave me the bounceback rate of 30% off for WL CLUB LEVEL in June! It can be done if you speak to the right person.:thumbsup2

That had nothing to do with CRO. The fact that you tried to book it they probably went back and listened to the tapes and saw that you did call. The OP did not call when they were on property

Was that towards me? Obviously CRO did ZERO for the PP. They sent an email to customer service who listened to the call and heard that the CM they talked to was an idiot. If you call CRO and say "yeah we were there last month and want to book a bounceback" the answer will be "no"

What's a CRO? I am horrible w/ abbreviations!

they said they can not go back and listen to any tapes...there is no way to tell if she tried to call while on property or not....

also customer service did NOTHING for me..no help at all.I had to go higher up.I was pretty mad though...we got year passes because we knew we were going to do bounceback.

livie -- Glad it worked out for you and you will be back visiting again. :wizard:

CRO is central reservations, the number you call to make the res. They cant do anything, the OP had to go to guest relations and if you think all phone calls arent recorded youre crazy.

she said they can not retain ALL phone calls...it was 2 weeks later, also I KNOW she didnt because I told her the story on the phone and she gave me the discount then and did not go track down a call.I asked because i thought of that too...she said they dont save all calls and said no problem and changed my rate.Sometimes it happens and you can get stuff done...we dont make the rules they do and can bend them when they feel the need.I know some people did not have the offer in the rooms (mousekeeping didnt put in room) so did not know of the offer.
