We'll be going to the Whispering Canyon Cafe in July and I was wondering if the bottomless milkshakes are worth the price? How many glasses of milkshake can one possibly drink? And if I DO end up drinking a whole glass and wanting another, can I change flavors or am I stuck with chocolate each time?

If its been a really hot day you could drink 2 -- I never asked for a different flavor--- so I am not sure. :confused3

You never met my DH! We went to Whispering Canyon 2 years ago. He saw Milkshakes on the menu(his favorite) We had ordered the all you can eat skillet. His first shake came,he sucked it down. Fifth shake later, he was so stuffed he couldn't eat his dinner or bearly move for 1 hour!!! He also had a variety of flavors. Then we went into the gift shop and he knocked a whole rack of toy rifles over. The darling wife that I am had to pick them up because he couldn't bend over. The morel to this story don't drink more than you can handle!!! lol :rotfl: :rotfl:

:rotfl2:
Sounds like my DH!!!
I think we'll go with the milkshakes and just enjoy! It's not an everyday thing, right? Thanks for all your replies.

You can change flavors,( and share).

I knew about the changing flavors option, however are you sure about the the sharing? I would love to try the shakes during our next visit, but there is no way I would drink more than one and still be able to eat my dinner, so I was thinking of getting one and allowing my children (7 and 4) to take sips from my cup. What about giving DH a sip? I know it is not supposed to be a bottomless milkshake for all, but is there any harm in letting a few sips to be shared? I do not want to do this if it is frowned upon. Any comments are welcome. Thanks.

It's priced per person not per table. I think sharing refers to family members ordering different flavors and sharing.

Sorry but if you children take enough sips so that you wind up getting a free refill then you've really gone past a few sips. Anything that is priced all you care to eat or drink is priced per person not per table. Not a big deal until you start getting refills.

Lewis, thank you for your honesty - I would expect nothing less. I have no issue with paying $5 for a shake, and also wouldn't dream of drinking 4 or 5 just to "get my moneys worth", or whatever. So based on your comment, I suppose it would be okay if DH and I both purchased a shake, shared with one another, and allowed our children to have a few sips??? Believe me, my children will only take a few sips, not enough to warrent a, and I quote, "free refill", lest I would purchase one for each of them as well. I am not going during a free dining promotion and will be paying for all of our meals, so there will be nothing "free" about it. Thanks again.
