Hi Everyone!
Hope that you all had a wonderful New Years! I just recently received my initial budget (Whoh! That was overwhelming!) and I had a question concerning having bottles of wine served during cocktail hour/reception. My mom and dad wanted to inquire about having bottles of red and white wine hand served. (Well, having glasses of wine served! You know what I mean!) We are having about 50 people, perhaps buying "X" amount of bottles and having them passed either during cocktail hour or the beginning of dinner hour. Has anyone ever done that before? I know I asked our EM about it and she said alot of brides choose to have this option, I just forgot to ask her about prices! I will be asking her soon, but I know I wont get to her till Monday or Tuesday of next week. If anyone has any info about this, that would be great! =)

I am also interested in this for maybe champagen. I guess they may charge more for having it hand passed? let me know what you find out!

I believe in that instnce that you would be purchasing a "Based on Consumption" (BOC) package. I do not believe there is a charge for hand-passing alcohol. But, people are more likely to drink more that way than having to go to the bar for it. By having it poured, people will asked repeatedly if they'd like their glass refilled. They're more likely to say yes when it is being offered than having to go to the bar to get it themselves. Also, you may want to be careful purchasing only a specific number of bottles... what if it runs out? I am sure Disney has it on-hand and available, but if they have to check with you first to continue pouring (and you're taking photos), things could be sticky....

xoxo

Speaking of the wine - have any of you had the wine they serve. I like very sweet white, almost sickening sweet to some.

Yes- we had white wine in our toasting flutes. It wasn't super sweet. You can take a look at the included brands, etc., and determine if there's anything you like. If not, bring it and the two of you can enjoy it when you get back to the room :)
