I'm sorry to bother you all with this, but the search function won't cooperate with me. Is there a bottled water bottle package onboard the Magic? I seem to recall a thread talking about a water package that includes a cooler. Any info on this? I have reservations about drinking the shipboard water (rightly or wrongly, I can't help it) and I'm sure we'll want some bottled water on CC. And I would love to have a souvenir cooler! What can you tell me about this?? :flower1:

We are just back from a cruise on the Magic and I purchased the bag/water combo. They sell them on every port day right outside of topsiders. I think it was called the "excursion" package or something. The cast member even put ice in the cooler for me. :D

Nice DCL cooler bag, 6 bottles of Evian. I also purchased two DCL water bottle holders which we ended up using for our two-way radios (DSs shorts didn't have pockets). I think the total cost was around $25 or so. I could be wrong, I just handed over my KTTW card and signed my name (much to my DHs chagrin) I do know for a fact that the bag is $10 in the gift shop and the water bottle holders were only $1 each.

Hope this helps.

I was wondering what you mean by "bag?" Is it a soft-side cooler or other type. jUst wondering?

I also read on DCLtribute site that he brought water on, but wished he hadn't. He said you could bring some empty water bottles on board and fill them on deck 9 at the beverage stand and cool them in the beverage cooler in your room. He said that water was filtered and such so to taste fine. Any thoughts anybody.

Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread. :flower1:

Thanks, Renae

I seen in one of the navigators you can purchase 18 bottles of Evian water for $$27.00. Contact stateroom dining. I'm not sure of the bottle size. :flower1:

We're just back from the Magic. The water on board is expensive. I think a case of Evian on board was something just short of $30.

We checked 4 bags and stuck 6 bottles of water from Costco in each of the 4 bags. 24 bottles was just about right for us for the week. It's a ton cheaper.

There's also a drug store on Key West (don't know if you're going to Key West or not) where you could probably pick some up too.

If you are water drinkers (like we are), and don't want to spend an arm and a leg on water, buy yourself a Brita Sports Bottle (with the filter in it). Fill it with ice from your ice bucket, and let it melt. (which is already filtered in the ice machine.) Don't know if you have a fridge in your room, but even if not, let the ice melt overnight, throw some fresh ice in in the AM to chill, and be on your way.

We used the Brita sports bottles while we were in the parks. They worked great! When we were onboard we just drank the water from deck 9 drink station (tasted great). Then we did use the sports bottles again on Castaway Cay.

We paid 30 dollars for a case of 24 when we were onboard last May. It was worth it!

I know on CC we bought a water package (could also get it with beer). It came in a soft sided cooler (very thin insulation) and had maybe 6 bottles of water in it, then they filled it with ice. It costed more then I would pay for water at home, but it was resonably "Disney" priced. Can't remember how much exactly.

When DD and I did the Nassau city tour I got the 6 bottles of water and the cooler ... the CM packed the 6 water bottles in ice in the cooler for us ... it was just enough to get us through the excursion (when we're hot we drink lots of water) and the cooler was a convenient way to carry the bottles and keep them nice and cold.

While on the ship I was inclined to go to deck 9 for refills and ask the stateroom hostess for ice twice a day. But when on excursions I know a lot of people are comfortable with refilling water bottles while on land from unknown water sources.

well they don't have a problem with you bringing your own water bottles, do they

When we checked in at the port, the people next to use checked an entire case or more of cosco bottle water. It must have been 50 little bottles. It was just wrapped in clear plastic and they loaded it with the other luggage.
