I'd like to take some bottled water to have with me in my resort room. Has anyone every put bottled water in their luggage to be checked at the airport?

I can't find any restrictions on the airlines websites but I'd hate to get there and be told that I can't check a case of bottled water. (that's in a suitcase).

Thanks,

Kerry

Yup, been there done that! We checked a case of water and gatoraid for our trip in September. Our extra snacks we carried on for the risk of them being crushed! We had no problems, and a bonus was an empty suitcase for all our extra stuff we ended up coming home with! Enjoy your trip! :goodvibes

Just watch the weight of that suitcase or you will have some very expensive water.

Other than weight, the other concern would be a leak.

We packed our water in ziplock bags, 3 bottles to a bag, and put them in our checked luggage. They are heavy, so we did 2 bags per piece of luggage.

Alternative would be to use a online grocery service. I used www.netgrocer.com and had Poland Spring Water, (same stuff I drink here at home) delivered to Pop Century for me. $27 got me 30 bottles of water, a can of coffee, a big tub of coffeemate and that included shipping. Saves the lugging around and luggage services even delivered it to my room for me.

Just my $.02

Cheers!

Just my op.
Water is so heavy and so inexpensive to buy when you reach your destination.
As Bicker says, hope it does not leak.
