dh as a medication thst he has to drink water with every morning. if I put this on our online checkin will Dcl put water bottles in our room and charge us for them?

If you are not concierge: You can order a water package that will be delivered to your room. You can then add bottles as you need them.

Concierge can get water added for them if I recall correctly.

You can order a case of water and have it delivered to your room -- for a fee(!)

Not likely. But you can bring on your own case of water bottles or buy one of theirs on the first day and keep it in your room. Or you can save the money and drink the tap water onboard. It's reverse osmosis water so it's probably better quality than any tap water you have had on land. I would never spend money on water on a ship, but that's just me.

We have a similar situation. For convenience, I always order a 12pack of bottled water prior to our Cruise. They deliver it to your room, so it's there usually when you get to your stateroom. It is of course more than you'd pay at the local Grocery Store, but the last thing I personally want to be doing, is lugging around a suitcase, carryon and a case of bottled Water! :guilty:

Plus you order it ahead of time, and pay for it, so it's not on your bill at the end of the cruise. There is an order form on the DCL website for "Add-on's and Extra's". You can order all sorts of things besides water. (Flowers....Fruit....Chocolate....Decorations....etc....)

I do like the fact that I pay for it upfront, so I don't need to worry about the bill at the end of our cruise. Lord knows there will be enough surprises other than water......:drinking1

As mentioned, unless you are in Concierge I would not expect to receive free bottled water in your stateroom for the purpose of taking medication. The tap water onboard is potable, using reverse osmosis. Whether it meets an individual's taste standards/preference is subjective, but there is already drinking water available in every stateroom.

If you prefer bottled water, you are welcome to carry-on what you need or order it to be delivered.

Enjoy your cruise!

We have packed bottled water multiple times in our suitcases and have never been charged or had the water confiscated.

We have found the water on board to be just fine. There is also water at the beverage stations on the pool deck. You can get a couple cups before bedtime and store them in your cabin's fridge.

Enjoy your trip.

I think a huge majority of guests take some form of medication that would need water so I don't think they would offer it up for free but as many said before me there are other options.

We have often brought bottles of water on board. They do have to be in your carry on NOT checked luggage so anything with wheels is preferable!!

We ask for a bucket of ice each afternoon. By morning what has melted is delicious cold water!

Fill a couple water bottles with ice and water at the drinking station and pop them in your fridge. The water is good on the ship!

Most bottled water these days is just sealed up tap water anyway. The water processing on the ship is fine. Drink from the usual sources of water, avoid drinking the sources that are never a good idea to drink, and you'll be fine.

Ditto the others, the water is good on the ship. I would just bring a metal water bottle and fill it at the beverage station. Far more environmentally friendly and much cheaper.

When you bring the bottled water onboard in your carry on, are you allowed to take them out of the pack to preserve space?

We just returned from a 5 Day on the Dream and I drank the tap water every morning and evening with my medications and had no problems whatsoever. YMMV

Two previous cruises I've lugged a case of bottled water on board, however with all the hassle and DCL being a stickler about packing beverages/water in your luggage in case of leaks and destroying other's clothing in their luggage last month I decided to try something different, I ordered a vacuum bottle off Amazon 24Oz and got a shoulder strap carrier for it and went up on deck 9 (Magic class) and filled it with COLD water from the drink station and it stayed cold as long as I drank it, since I was going to and from the dining rooms I would always make a trip by the drink station to refill the bottle when ever was out. It worked great.

DCL will provide distilled gallon water for CPAP machines , perhaps that is an option for you since you need water for medical purpose.
