Bottlecaps - please help me understand....

Okay, so I'm amazed at the creativity here. Anywho, bottlecaps. Help me understand please. First of all, I've seen pics of these bottlecap things but don't understand how you make them. How are these different than those I've seen in AC Moore or Michael's, etc. that already had something in the middle? And those you find in the store that come in a pack of 6 or so, what do you do with them? We'll be doing our first cruise in october and I've no idea what I could do with them (and I find them adorable). I have a son so I'm clueless. How do you make those things and what to do with those already made? Help please.

You can recylcle bottlecaps & paint them or you can purchase the painted ones off ebay. Make your design in whatever photo program you have on your computer. Print it out, cut or punch it out, glue to the bottlecap & then put resin dot or poured resin on top to protect it. Some people use modge podge on top to protect it. You can put magnets on back to put on the refrigerator. You can punch holes in them & make necklaces, key chains, backpack pulls, or put them on hairbows. Depending on the age boys wear them on the magnetic chokers. They are really lots of fun to make because you can come up with so many different designs. If you use the magnetic chokers they can just be changed out. Hope this helps! Have fun & be sure to share what you make!

Thanks Mommie, I'm about to be out of commission for a few weeks and looking for some projects to keep me occupied. I'm spending my last few days hitting up AC Moore with coupons to see what I can find to do to keep me occupied. If I can find this resin stuff, I may try the magnets for the cruise door. *shrug* We'll see.

these are really "stylish" with the girls for necklaces, rings and bracelets. DD has several and she gets them from Justice and other places. I have some "empty" ones that I got from Hobby Lobby, but havne't used them. I thought it might mess up my scrapbooks. That's what these were apparently meant for because they were in the scrapbook section.
