Hey everyone got our new disney fan on thursday and got a question.

I was wondering how long it should take him to drink an ounce to an ounce and a half of milk from a bottle. It has been taking him about 10 min using a slow flow nipple. Just want to make sure that isn't to fast.

I personally don't think so. DD drank quickly when she was a nb. Just make sure he is burping and the nip of the bottle is slow. I somehow got a "fast" nip and DD actually choked.

Congratulations!

That sounds just about right. I remember ds11 was a slow eater, 15 minutes an ounce, so by the time he was up to 4 ounces, an hour to get that bottle in!

That sounds fine. If it's too fast, it will be pouring out the side of his/her mouth. If not and he/she seems comfortable after eating, then it is just the right speed for your little one. Bottles usually go down faster than nursing.

CONGRATS!!!

Second the if it isn't leaking out the side of his mouth you are good. Also watch for a too slow nipple, if he seems to be sucking really hard, getting frustrated, or turning red! Then they get too much air cause they are sucking too much.
