Both E-Ticket and D-Ticket pools closed at DLH until late Spring '16?

We have our anniversary trip planned for the first week of April. It seems that every time I check on the DIS I see more refurbishments. I know this will be a busy week, but I am worried that many of the long winter refurbishments will end on April 2nd, making that week very appealing to local APers.

We were going to stay at DLH, but I would rather not look over construction (or hear it for that matter). We went in January last year and encountered power outages, construction noise by the pool, etc. Really don't want to go through that again, especially paying Spring break prices.

I booked Best Western Park Place as a back up and I think we will probably cancel DLH. In fact I'm thinking of canceling all together. Bummer.

Thanks for the Marriott Courtyard tip, we now have a back-up reservation for March 13-17th. Looks like a nice choice if the pools at the DLH are truly closed.

If the slides are running, that's all my kids care about. And me too! Swimming is swimming, but you can't find waterslides everywhere you go.

Agreed, but in March the weather could make the climb and wait at the top of the slide less appealing! Last March one of pool days was a bit over cast the slide steps were one windy, cold place to be. The warmth of the pools and spa were welcomed.

Does anyone know how far in advance you can rent cabanas at the DLH? I have reservations mid may and the hotel is going to be very busy. With only 3 cabanas open I want to make sure I grab them before they are gone.

Does anyone know what Disney's definition of 'late Spring' is? We will be there the last week of April. It's frustrating that they aren't giving an exact date.
Not sure but wanted to add that I got the closing letter for our trip 3/12-17.

Spring starts March 20th and ends June 19 this year - so by saying late Spring, if they open it early June they are keeping their promise.
