Boston Restaurant Recommendation

Hi all

Family will be going to Boston the weekend of Christmas to see the Radio City Christmas Show at the Wang theater.

Any recommendations for good restaurants within walking distance?

Not sure where the Wang Theatre is but I can tell you a place NOT to go and that would be Legal Seafood. Way overrated and way overpriced.

I don't know where the Wang theater is either but we ate at a good steak place there but I can't remember the name. It is on the water and has a lot of photo's of celebrities that have visited there (big help huh?).

It is very close to the Wang. We usually park in the tiny little lot right near it as well.

The Wang is right near Chinatown. If you like Chinese, you can go authentic (I recommend Grand Chau Chau) or Americanized (P.F Chang's). There's a fantastic Malaysian place as well, Penang. There's a Legal Seafoods a few blocks from the Wang. (I happen to really like Legal's. Not cheap, but I think it's quite good.)

I've never been crazy about Magianno's, but there's nothing wrong with it. Kind of average Italian in my opinion.

Um, let's see....There's a California Pizza Kitchen within walking distance, and Jacob Wirth's (bar food). There's an Indian place, Mantra, which was ok.

That's all I can think of for now. If you have a particular type of food you like, I could try to think of others. Personally, I think Asian food is the way to go in that area, but there are lots of choices.

Thanks for your suggestions. I forgot it was in Chinatown. We ate at a Chinese restaurant there a few years ago that was really good--can't remember the name (they also had REALLY strong MaiTais--which is why I can't remember the name!)

anyway, I do remember the restaurant had really steep stairs to climb to get to it and they were hosting a wedding there as well.

If you can think of the name that would be great.

Jacob Wirth's is excellent. Even though it's a little bit of a walk, The Paramount, located at 44 Charles St., is also very good.

They have McDoanlds there dont they, I recommand the Big Mac
