I was at the dentist today and before I got called in to have my teeth cleaned, I managed to see the winner of the Boston Marathon cross the finish line. What an exciting moment. I never paid too much attention to it until I completed the ½ last year and training for our race prior to that.

It’s almost as much of a thrill and after seeing the winner of the Disney full on the bridge by the Dolphin ahead of the pack and the leader of the wheelchair division too. Our family lined up on the bridge with our 1/2 medals on cheering the winners as they came up the bridge, got a lot of smiles from them and congrats too.

Got back to work and went on the Bostonchannel.com to see the news and was looking at some pictures runners had downloaded prior to the race and there before me was a runner from DISNEY in front of the Yak & Yeti - he posted is picture from there – his preparation for the Boston at Disney!!

I’m not sure this link will work but here goes.

He is #7 of 15, you'll have to scroll over.... I tried but it wouldn't let me just put the one picture in.

I live only 1 hour from Boston but don’t think I’d venture down there to see the race, way too crowded.

I know what you mean about watching the marathons on TV - especially now that I've participated in one. It's exciting to watch these athletes give it their all. The women's race at the end of the BM was especially exciting to watch. I could feel my heart racing as the two women got closer to the finish line.

Speaking of the Boston Marathon, I have a friend who participated yesterday. He did the Goofy this year as part of his training for the event. I can't wait to hear all about the weekend. Boston has been a dream of his for so long and now he lived it. I wonder if he posted a picture of himself at Disney? :teeth:

Denise, thanks for the link to the pictures they were interesting. I thought I saw some WISH shirts to. After the slide show there are some pics of Lance Armstrong. He sure has changed since his bike days, he looks much leaner.
