Yes there is another Disney disease and I seem to have it.

I noticed that I was missing 70 points from 2011 and that the points I was using for 2010 was less than my yearly point count of 240.

Seems I "borrowed points from 2010 for 2009 and then again borrowed points from 2011 for 2010 because we were coming 2-3 times each year. On 240 points total thats a stretch and we have downgraded to Studios to be able to come that often. Only thing I personally miss in the 1BRs is the jaccuzi and the larger refrig.

So do I have to cure this disease by catching that dreaded one called Addonitis?

Anyone else find themselves borrowing to the point of adding on? And does it cure you??

I too have this deadly affliction. My doctor has told me my only hope for a normal life is to do an add on. Unfortunately my DH refuses. Seems he wants me to die a slow and painful death.

I have this deadly affliction and TRIED to cure it with addonitis, but so far haven't done it yet. We're at 425 total and are COMPLETELY borrowed. We're taking 2011 off from DVC to get current. Now, I might try to get a trip in paying CASH.......

I must concur with all of the above. Addonitis can only be soothed with the ointment of more points, but flair-ups happen and you are back where you started. And so what, you can't take it with you. And I just hate the thought of leaving it to someone so they can buy DVC points.

Once a year at spring break in a one bedroom for a week. This year it's 413 fir BLT.

We will be there at Spring Break as well at BCV. Ours is the week of April 19th and my DS 14 has a classmate whose family stays at the Yacht Club, concierge level. Cannot get them to get buy into DVC because they keep getting 40% discounts every year at YC and see no reason to spend the money. Then again, the dad wanted to put in a pool but the mom thought it was a waste of money.

We added on over 200 points twice and bought another 102 at BLT and I am still borrowed out until 2011 (actually 2012 if you count Feb 2011's trade to Hawaii which will obviously need to be paid for with points from somewhere) in my BWV contracts. Sadly, once they adjust the BLT point charts AGAIN for 2011, I'll be borrowing from there as well, since I will no longer have the exact amount needed for three weekday nights anymore. Too bad, since I will NEVER be able to talk DH into adding on any more points anywhere! Personally, I don't think you can have too many points but, alas, DH does not agree.

Oh well, you'll just have to learn to live in a perpetual state of borrowdom like so many of us do. Join the club!

Our trip is smack dab in the middle of holiday season, hence the high points!

Well, I have not yet caught borrowitis and want to stay away from addonitis, so my preventive cure will hopefully be a points transfer next summer.

I may try to get enough points to cover my trips for the next 3 or 4 years so I can stave off both these illnesses.

I am glad to know that there are other ppl just like me out in the world...that I am not the only person with the same addiction...I have been in borrowed mode since I purchased. I don't even know how this happened...especially since when I brought in to DVC I was given a year of points from the previous year...(i guess it's bc I have an october UY and I purchased in January...)hmmmmmmmmmmm

I always borrow from the next year and I'm not adding on! I figure that at this rate my contract will typically end one year earlier than the 2042 because I will have borrwed all of the points in 2041.

and Yes, at 79 I still plan to go to Disney, even if I have to have a scooter to do it!

Surprisingly, we have about 70 points left in 2011, after using 2009, 2010, and some 2011 points for 14 nights in the parks in December, 2010 and a 5 night cruise in June, 2011. Those reamining 70 will go toward a couple night's stay at the parks before our June, 2011 cruise. Still, I'd love one of these days to stay in one of those *1 bedrooms* that everyone keeps raving about, but that's when DVC stays start costing big time points.

Trying to keep mine in check also. As of now I will be able to bank a whole 6 points. It is hard when you started off banking a whole year and having double developer points. Love those 1 bedrooms.

i am always in a state of borrowing and we have 300 points,(2 add ons). We usually have family and friends join us, so need larger accomodations. We have had as many as 14 in our group. We love sharing Disney. Besides by 2054 I will be 99!!!!!!!!! EERR bad math 109 !!!!!
