borrowing questions always confuse me! help!

So I have a question about borrowing points and if I want to do is possible.
So we have an April use year. I want to book a trip for November 2012, I'm going to book this trip in December 2011 (11 months out) using 2012 points. However, I'm 5 points short. This is where I get confused. Can I borrow those 5 points from my 2013 use year??? Thanks!

Yes. Here is what makes it easiest for me. Everything is based on time of travel and not when you call--don't even think about that in terms of what can be used.

With an April UY, your Nov 2012 is in your 2012 UY. That means you can "pay" for it with banked 2011 UY points, 2012 UY points, and borrow 2013 UY points.

You can always pay call 11 months ahead at your home resort and any trip can use banked points from the UY prior to travel, the UY of travel, and borrow points from the UY after travel.

Thanks sooo much!!! That's what I thought but I think calling in Dec. 2011 to book it kept confusing me. and how you explained is a perfect way of how to think it out!

When you book the vacation has nothing to do with it. It's when the vacation occurs that matters for the points.
