I have a question and forgive me if it isn't allowed. I think we may have finally decied to stay at BWV (my home resort). My friend may be going at the same time her home resort is OKW. Here is my question. We would like to stay at the same resort near eachother. Since I am able to book at the 11 month window can she transfer her points to me and I can book for her also. Is that allowed. If not if she book at the 7 month window does she have a good chance of getting a 1 bd (BWV) for mid Nov (probably after food and wine? Thanks sorry if this is rambling and confusing I was up half the night with teething babies

Her points can be transferred to you, but those points will still have the 7 month booking window, and not the 11 month window, so there is not much point in doing that. For sure you could both get rooms near each other at OKW during that time, even booking at the 7 month window. I am not sure BWV would be impossible either, so give it a try.

Actually it might work due to the limitation of the DVC computer system. Best option though would be for you both to book home resort and then change at the 7 month window so you can be together.

Which reminds me...I've been calling for a few days to switch an April 2004 ressie now that I'm in the 7 month window, and onMonday was told that there's a whole new computer program in place to "better control the 11-month and 7-month window." Since I was using so many banked and borrowed points for four different units on two different trips, I thought it was just me.

I've been calling for a few days to switch an April 2004 ressie now that I'm in the 7 month window, and onMonday was told that there's a whole new computer program in place to "better control the 11-month and 7-month window." Member Services was pretty confused because it wasn't allowing them to process things the way it had in the past. Anyone else encounter this during the week?

I did get a call from Member Services just last night, and I was impressed that she could tell me quickly which points were not borrowed on my one transaction...I have so many contracts that it usually takes forever for them to add up all the individual contracts.

I think it's good news that they got the program working better! Can't wait to make another reservation, just to try it out.
