If I have an August use year when can I borrow my 2025 points?

W/ an August use year you can borrow your 2025 allotment of points for booking a vacation that occurs between 8/1/2024 & 7/31/2025 - so you could borrow 11 months before 8/1/2024 to book a trip at your home resort.

Since the trip needs to be in your 2024 UY, which begins Aug 1st, then the 11 month window for that date is 9/1.

Everything depends on the dates of the trip. You can always book 11 months from date of checkin, up to 7 nights. If the trip starts on 8/1/2024, you can book it on 9/1/2023, no matter which points you use.

Which points you can use depends on the UY of the trip - you can use points banked from the previous UY, points from the UY the trip is in, and/or points borrowed from the following UY. A trip that starts on 8/1/2024 is in your August 2024 UY. So you could use points banked from your August 2023 UY, points you have in your August 2024 UY, and points you borrow from your August 2025 UY.

To add to @CarolynFH ‘s post - if your long trip is longer than 7 nights you just book the first 7 nights right at 11 months & then a couple of days later you log on again & add the rest of your nights, I do this for our 10-12 day Dec. trips.
