Hi! Does anyone have any insight when Disney might, if ever, drop the 50% on borrowing points from the next use year and reinstate100%? I'm hoping to use my 2022 points and 2023 points for a big trip. 🤔

There's no indication from DVC as to when (if) they will reinstate 100% borrowing. The closure of VGC for more than a year plus exceptions being made for owners living outside of the U.S. is causing a glut of points in 2021 and 2022. It may be a few years before we see things begin to loosen up.

I agree that now that they are doing more for international I don’t see it now until we’ll into 2022.

I interested in doing a similar thing. I’m wondering if they will loosen up as capacity at the resorts go back to full capacity or at least more than they are right now.

DVC bookings have been open for full capacity since the start,

As a timeshare, they could not hold them back from owners.

So, none of the increases will create more rooms for owners to use points.

Thank you for clarifying that.

Has anyone reviewed the sale agreement to verify if this is legal? I want to use my 2021 and 2022 points for a trip around the holidays. I'm only staying 5 days, but more points are required per room at that time then off peak times. We paid lot of money for these points and during the Disney sales pitch they advertise that you can bank and borrow points as needed. Should we consider a class action suit to force the change or receive compensation?

It is legal. The Home Resort rules and regulations specifically state that banking and borrowing can be suspended.

They also probably showed you that you could stay at AKV in a studio for only 8 points a night. But those are Value studios and are often walked by AKV owners for months.
