We've owned at SSR for 3 years now and have enjoyed some great trips there in studios. Always just used our points each year with no banking or borrowing/transfers needed.

But in December 2008 we are looking to take friends with us and would need a 1 bedroom and more points than we have. I understand when we book at the 11 month window we can borrow points from the next use year to have enough points for the reservation at SSR. But, if we look at staying at OKW at the 7 month booking window, we wouldn't need the extra points.

So, how does that work if we've borrowed points at the 11 month window and then want to switch at the 7 month window and don't need the borrowed points anymore?

Thanks!

The borrowed points cannot be "put back" into their original year. If you do not use them before the end of yor current use year, they expire and are lost to you.

My advice is to ask MS to use all of the borrowed points on your OKW reservation. That means the "leftover" points will be current use year points. Those can be banked (subject to your banking deadlines). The banked points will have to be used in the next use year (or they will expire).
