Borrowing Points Question

Okay, I get the whole banking deadline and all that goes with that process. I do however need some clarification on any deadlines or restrictions as to when I must borrower from my next use year (I have a February use year) if I want to use some points during this year? (I know once I borrow they can't go back)

You see, I have very carefully managed to spread my points for this year into four trips; one in January, May, one in October and one on the Nov/December line.

I have used up each and every point and am very proud of myself for making it work!

Now that the MNSSHP dates have been released, the date that works best falls on the last night of our trip so as it stands, we would have to leave the next morning. Because of this unforseen snafu, I am thinking I want to add one more night to our stay so that the day after the party, we can chill and not have to hustle to pack and leave (I know, problems, problems).

Soooooo, the question that I have is when is my deadline to decide that I want to swipe some points from 2010 to add one more night on to the October trip? Does it have to be done by the same banking deadline or as long as I ask for it before the arrival (and there is room) is there any issue?

Hopefully I'm making sense and some of you seasoned pros can tell me when I need to make up my darn mind

Borrowing only occurs when you make the actual reservation so there is no deadline, other than the night being available that you want to borrow for. And MS will only borrow if you don't have any other current points to use.
