Borrowing Points Process/Waitlist Question

We are re-sale buyers. Today I tried to book a reservation that required borrowed points (under 50%) threshold, but the system would not let me do so as I have read in other posts. I tried calling Member Services, but of course the room disappeared long before anyone picked up. I have now set up a waitlist for the days I am trying to secure, but does anyone know if a waitlist will even work if the system will not process borrowing points on its own?

The wait list system works in 2 phases. The room is taken out of inventory by computer but the waitlist is filled by a human. A CM filling wait lists will borrow the points if you set it up to allow borrowing.

Unfortunately some owners accounts will not allow the borrowing online Since the rule went into place. No one knows why it works for some and not others.

Since the actually room will be processed by a CM when or if it fills, they will be able to get the points borrowed during that process
