And have you done it before?
I just found out from our Firm's Payroll person that the firm offers Temporary Financial Assistance to it's employees.
They will loan you up to $1500 and give you a year to pay it back by deducting the payments from your paycheck.
You have to *prove* your Hardship case but I'm not sure to what extent. Your Immediate Supervisor has to approve it (as long as you are in good standing with your performance) and submit to Payroll and the amount would be ADDED on your next check.
My Problem:
I have a Weasel of a Supervisor. He tries VERY hard to learn everyone's business. He is very ruthless and have been known to *use it against that person*. However, he would have to notify 2 other supervisors as he has no *real* authority to approve it. He just likes to "plant seeds" KWIM?
Dh and I are in a financial pickle and the money would help us land on our feet and get back on track.
It would just be so embarrassing having to explain to Weasel Supervisor why we need the money and of course he's going to tell my business to the other 2 supervisors and I don't like them either.
I see them EVERY day and once I've borrowed the money, I'm afraid they are going to start looking at me and treating me differently. It's going to be a hard pill to swallow once this *Stigma* is attached to me.
It can get very political. We get our taxes done on February 13 so maybe I should just hold out then?
What would you do? Have you ever borrowed money from your firm before?
