Hi guys, I have a question and I really can't work out the answer...but I know one of you will be able to! I want to go to Hawaii in feb 2015. I have a June use year. In order for this to be possible I would need all of 2015 points and also borrow all of 2016 points. My 2013/2014 have already gone :-( Will I be able to book feb 2015 trip borrowing all of 2015 and 2016 7 months out in August 2014?

UY has nothing to do with when you can call to book.

For a June UY, a Feb 2015 trip is in your 2014 UY. That means you can only use banked 2013 plus current 2014 plus borrowed 2015 UY pts...the problem is that you need more pts...

February, 2015 is in your 2014 Use Year. You can certainly borrow from your 2015 Use Year for that trip, but cannot borrow from your 2016 Use Year. You would be able to purchase up to 24 "One-time-use-Points" from MS at $15 per point.

With a June Use Year, a February, 2015 trip could use points banked from your 2013 UY, current points from your 2014 UY and points borrowed from your 2015 UY - but not points from the 2016 UY.

Sounds like you need more points!

As mentioned, its all based on the UY your trip takes place and not the calendar year when figuring out what points can be used.

Any trip can use banked points from the UY prior to travel, points from the UY of travel and borrow points from the UY after travel.

So, unfortunately, you would have to plan the trip for after June 1st, 2015 to have access to borrow your 2016 UY points.
