Borrowed points not returned?

I borrowed five points last week for a rental that went south. Had to cancel and those five points have not been returned to their original use year. This all happened Thursday. Do I need to call or will the points be returned at some future time automatically? My understanding is that borrowing rules return to normal on April 30.

After cancellation it can take up to a week or so for the return to original year to happen. You might try calling if you need it done quicker. And the holding rules and pre-covid borrowing rule that did not allow return to original use year will return effective May 1 (the 50% borrowing rule will still be in place thereafter). The April 30 date was announced as the last date those existing covid rules would be in place.

They were sweeping up every Thursday to return so you may have just missed it last week. One time, it took two different sweeps to move them all.
