It is for member to member. You can use borrowed points for the Disney collection, etc...

Just to expand on HBC's comment a little more, it's member to member, or even between a member's two separate contracts (such as resale contracts with different use years).

When using points outside the DVC resorts, the points are converted into reservation points. Not transferred.
