Borrowed Points and Cancelled Reservations

Apologies as this info is probably in other large threads. We have an October reservation we are thinking about cancelling due to the restrictions. Is DVC still returning borrowed points to their original use years?

I believe they are but like anything, it could change in an instant. If you are going to cancel, I would do it sooner rather than later.
