Borrow to Crusie on Points?

I know this idea is not an ideal use of points but it has worked out very well for us in the past.
Does anyone know how far you can borrow points from? The cruise is based in 2013.

If the sail date is in your 2012 UY, you can borrow from 2013.

If the sail date is in your 2013 UY, you can borrow from 2014.

I'd bank your 2012 points into 2013 and you can borrow from 2014 if you need to.

I know this is not the advice you want to read, but using your points for a cruise is not a good use of your points, especially if you have to borrow.

There are many reasons not to do this....

Rent, pay cash - Its cheaper.
No OBC
If you cancel, points do not return to UY.
Paying cash, you can get a full refund...within rules.
If you use a service, like the R/T board sponsor, you'll have money left over for excursions, gratuities, transportation...etc.
