We have 5 day passes for Universal Orlando.

After the 4th day will be be tired of it?

or What rides are worth doing twice especially at Universal Studios?

I can see doing IOA for two days for their rides, but I don't know about 3 days?

Input?

5 days in a row is overkill, unless you are really slow. It's usually a day at each park, then a 3rd morning to do favorites.
The mornings at any park are the best time to visit, because the crowds are less.
Therefore, I'd visit SWF on the 3rd morning, and BGT on the 4th morning if you have a rental car and can drive.
On the 5th day, you pick your favorite between IOA/USF/SWF. There is nothing that says you have to spend your entire day at one park. You visit one park in the morning, go to your hotel to rest in the afternoon, then visit another in the evening.

I could do MIB and Mummy all day long. In fact, I have done exactly that. Sure beats being at home on the computer.

me 2 damo. Well personally i wouldnt get tired after 5 days (because im addicted) but do everything a normal person would do on the 1st day at universal. IOA on the 2nd day the same way as the 1st. On the 3rd day do a park hop between the 2 parksand do your favorites.
On the 4th day id try and go to universal again and see all the scenary and things you would have never noticed the other days and do rides you didnt do on your 1st 3 days. Finally on the 5th day do the same at IOA. :teeth:

We're doing 5 days this June. Plan to take the middle day to go to Sea World, and likely a couple of 1/2 days in the park, with some serious cabana time at HRH. Looking for the universal part of this trip to be almost relaxing !!! :rotfl:

I usually stay five days and do NOT get tired of the parks. It gives your the opportunity to really notice things. The little touches in the theming, all the music throughout IOA, etc. I'm an early riser so I always get to the parks when they open. I usually go back to the hotel and enjoy the pool in the late afternoon and then return to the parks in the evening. I like to relaxing pace and having time to enjoy the pool.

We did five days in December and LOVED it. It was nice to be able to take things nice and slow. With FOTL we were able to sleep late, have a leisurely breakfast, then ride without little if any wait.

If you are staying onsite, 5 days will let you really enjoy the amenities of your hotel and still have plenty of time in the parks.

Even if you are not staying onsite, take the time to visit the hotels, stroll around, and take a few meals at their very special restaurants. Maybe schedule a spa visit at PFB.

With 5-day passes you can also take full advantage of CityWalk and sleep in the next day.

Enjoy!

5-6 days is my famlies average when we plan a Universal trip. One trip we stayed 10 days
There is so much to explore and take in with out becoming bored. Its nice to be able to spend some time at your hotel to swim and relax. Shorter trips dont allow that if your gonna see everything. Its really nice to take your time and enjoy your vacation fully.

:rotfl: What makes it funny is I know that its true! And I say "Who needs the Mummy?" I could do MIB 5 days in a row.

I've got to learn to max out with both guns. I think 5 days of straight MIBbing would do it. I just need to bring along lots of anti-nausea medication. After about 10 times in a row, I dont' feel so great.

We always stay 5 days(wish it could be more)theres plenty to do and see,I like taking my time do what I want with out being under pressure to get it all
done, staying onsite is the icing on the cake it really makes the whole universal trip a vacation from the ordinary........I've heard that somewhere before ;)

My family of 5 had our 1st visit to US/IOA last June. We also had 5 day passes that we felt might be "overkill". It was the best. We actually enjoyed our hotel and the others, never rushed or worried about what time it was. Took our time checking out the shows, riding jimmy neutron with my DS3 for hours, the teenagers with us came and went. I don't think you'll be bored or without anything to do. If I could figure out how to afford WDW at such a leisurely pace I'd be in heaven!!!

Palenque, I hope 5 days isn't boring - we're doing 10 :goodvibes We've got other places to go, also, but we're staying onsite the whole time. btw, we love to come your way and stay at the Grand - we've done 7 days there and barely left the grounds. It's truly one of our favorite places to go!

Yep, last trip was 3.5 days and DS did MIB for almost 2 of those. He hopes to do ONLY MIB this trip of 3.5 days. He desperately wants to max it out. Won't read the info. Made just under 800k last trip.

Maybe this time.

I can only echo what most others are saying. We had 5 days and stayed at RPR. We took it so leisurely that we didn't even get to do everything. But we did our favs over and over. It was the best vacation ever. Very relaxing. We got up when we wanted, strolled around and took our time. We headed back to the hotel after lunch and enjoyed the pool for an hour or two and then headed back to the parks. It was just sooooo nice, not having to do the commando thing. 5 days was great, but 7 or 8 would have been even better!

The more days you have, the slower you should pace yourself. That's the general way to plan it.

Last year we did a 2 week vacation - 10 days at Disney and 4 days at Universal. For us, 4 days was not nearly enough time at Universal and if I had a disappointment about our trip it was that we rushed through Universal and IOA and didn't get to relax at the RPR as much as we should have. I have always been a Disney lover, but IOA may be the best themed park of them all. Unfortunately, we had to rush through most of it.

This year, we are only taking a one week vacation in Orlando. Last week, we made a decision I never would have imagined possible a few years ago. We decided to do a Universal-only week long trip. Actually, it will be 8 nights, at the Portifino.

Our kids are 5 and 6. Here's the way I see us dividing the time:

2 days at US. Not full days; about 5-6 hours each. The rest of the day can be spent swimming at the resort. One day we will start early; the other we will start in the afternoon.

2 days at IOA. Again, not full days, with the rest of the day spent swimming at the resort.

1 day at Sea World.

1 day at WnW.

1 day spent relaxing at the resort.

1 day as a wild card, e.g., swimming, hitting favorite rides.

Sure, 8 days is more time than you need. But as others have said above, it just means that you take a more leisurely pace. One thing I've learned from our Disney trips is that if you do not take time to relax, your vacation can start to seem more like work.

Anyway, those are my thoughts. I will give a detailed trip report when we get back.

Johnvree, it sounds like you have the perfect plan. I bet it will be a wonderful vacation.
