Hi guys
I did ask this question on the main forum and got one lovely reply but I'm hoping my fellow Brits can give me some more thoughts/advice please.
I'm hoping you will give my plans a once-over and let me know what your thoughts are (in particular if Merida is a no chance). I've never done WDW in so short a time so I NEED HELP PLEASE!!
The basics - 2 adults. Both been to Disneyland California. I've been to WDW 6 times, Clair has never been. We have 2 days
only to fit the best things in. Those two days are 7th and 8th October (a Sunday and Monday...columbus day). Clair says she's not bothered what she sees/does as long as she meets the Beast, so I'm taking her to my faves as we have similar taste. We have MNSSHP tickets on the evening 8th.
So, I know we won't get everything in (not possible in 3 weeks let alone 2 days) but here's what I'm thinking....
DAY ONE:
Animal Kingdom for opening. Go straight to Kilimanjaro Safari's and get fastpass ticket (or go on if short line). If a wait do Pangani Forrest Trail while waiting. Then wander round to Dinosaur via the other trail (forget the name but the Tiger one). If Clair wants to do EE she can do single rider. Then go ride Dinosaur (pray there isn't a 2hr queue). Head back through and meet Pocahontas at Camp Mickey & Minnie if she's there (she's my fave) before exiting the park. Hopefully by lunchtime.
Head over to Hollywood Studios. See if there are fastpass tickets for Buzz. Watch B&B and Indiana Jones (which way round depends on times). Check out the Walt Disney story. Ride Star Tours. Anything else we have time for is a bonus. Maybe watch Fantasmic (It's my fave show). What time do we have to line up for this now? I usually do the meal plan with it but we're not this time. Not sure where we'll eat actually.
DAY TWO
Head to EPCOT for opening. Go pick up Soarin' fastpass and then head to The Seas for Turtle Talk with crush. Head back and ride Soarin' or maybe ride the Golf Ball
if the lines aren't huge. Then head on to World Showcase (should be open by now). Wander around to France to meet the Beast (not sure what time he starts coming out). Head back around and ride Malestrom if the lines aren't bad. It'll be a quite fast walk around but we are short on time.
Head over to Magic Kingdom by mid-afternoon. Try to meet Merida.
That evening is MNSSHP. I've been told to meet characters (mainly Jack and villains) at the beginning and do rides. Then watch Hallowishes Fireworks and the second Parade. If we are by the castle will we see the headless horseman or do we need to be on main street? After the parade go trick or treating and do more rides? Where is the best place/time to meet villains?
We're in Orlando the evening of 6th and the following morning (9th) before a flight home. We could go into the parks then but I was going to meet friends on 6th and then maybe watch fireworks from Polynesian. And as we only have til 1 on 9th, I was planning on going to Downtown.
Thoughts? Is Merida going to be a no chance by then cause of queues? Have I miscalculated badly somewhere? Thoughts on the MNSSHP plan?
If we have spare time outside of getting those things done, we'll try to do more rides and meet more characters.
Any help is greatly appreciated. THANK YOU
