Borders 40% off coupons - how often?

Borders has a 40% off coupon right now good thru 10/25. I got it off of dealnews. For some reason the one emailed to me was only 33% off.

My question is, how often do you think the 40% ones come out? I'm deciding if I should hold out and only buy legos there when I have a 40% off coupon. I did great last year for Christmas using coupons ranging from 30-40% off. I even had a lego set left for Valentines Day and Easter.

I would like to do better this year, and try to get 40% off every time. What are my chances? How often does that really good coupon come out?

I don't know how often the 40% coupons are emailed. I rec'd the 33% coupon in my email today and bought the Lego Advent calendar. The longer I wait the less likely they will have them in stock, so I just got it.

I have looked for legos online and can't find them. Am I missing something, or are they only in stores? Thanks.

Only in stores, and the store doesn't track inventory by computer - in other words, you need to go and look (or sweet-talk a customer service person into looking for you). I went with DS last week as he had saved $$ for Pirate Code and they had loads of other games but not that one. (We ended up getting it at K-Mart with the $5 off but I will definitely head back to Borders in the future!)

I was able to buy a Lego set with my 40% off coupon. DH is going tomorrow to get another Lego set using his Rewards account.

Thank you for the coupon. We got ds a lego set. I'm sending my mom for the Brickmasters Star Wars. I usually do her toy shopping and she can do this one herself. Today I'm sending my sister with a coupon to pick up another lego set for ds. They will have a good start on Christmas shopping. Gotta love saving a few bucks.

Well, I stopped on my way home from work on Friday. I used the 40% off coupon for Lego Harry Potter The Burrow, and used the 33% off coupon for the Lego City Advent Calendar. They let me use both coupons no problem - did not even need to ring them up separately.

I also picked up the rest of the mystery minifigures that DS was missing - they had had an awesome selection with great variety.

The major disappointment though was the prices - Borders has raised their Lego prices above the msrp. Both big items were priced $5 over the standard price. It was still a good deal with the coupons, but not as good as last year.
