We are headed up to Boothbay Harbor for 3 days in mid July. We already have our accommodations booked.

Does anyone have any suggestions of places to eat or places not to miss during our visit? We have only been up there once before but it was many years ago and for only part of a day.

Interested in hearing about your favorite places. Thanks to all!!!

If you go through Damariscotta I suggest the place across the street from Red's where the line goes on forever. Neither of them are the greatest places but the one right on the ocean is good and I like sitting on the picnic tables.

Lately we have been eating at the Boathouse a lot http://www.theboathousebistro.com/#_=_

Olivia's is worth it for the view alone but isn't in downtown Boothbay so I don't know if that is a problem. It is on Southport. The view is amazing and the food is good too. http://oliversrestaurant.com

Love sandwiches from the East Boothbay Store. Go down the road and walk on Ocean Drive as the view is beautiful. http://www.ebgs.us

The flowers are gorgeous here. http://www.mainegardens.org

I could keep going, but I know others will have ideas. We are local so feel free to message if you have a question. Enjoy your stay.

Oh, and oe of my top 3 favorite places in the world has to be Mohegan Island and you can catch a boat right in downtown Boothbay. This link is to a hotel there with a good restaurant. I am posting it because of the picture so you get an idea as the island isn't for everyone. Right when you dock there is a little store on the left (not hard to miss as maybe 2 stores on the island, LOL) with yummy cookies. http://islandinnmonhegan.com

Thanks so much! Can't wait to go and try out these suggestions. Thank you again everyone!!

I stopped there on my way up to Acadia. We got a groupon to the boothbay rail village and as four adults we had fun stopping there and walking around for a bit. If you find a groupon or living social deal for it with a promo code it is quite cheap.

Bath is a great little town to stop along the way...cute shops and restaurants. Two restaurants there that are very good but not expensive is Beale St BBQ and Maes Cafe..for breakfast and lunch.

Have a great trip!
