Booted from a DIS Room!

It happened to me once too. I was using an alternate character and wanted to get into my room, so I was using the teleporter network. As soon as I walked in the door to head for the teleporter, I got the boot. I actually thought that was a little bit rude to be having a private meeting in a teleporter lobby, and it's not like I was standing around listening. Anyway, enough ranting, I won't say which lobby it was since that would identify the person. (it was not the lobby where my teleporter is located!)

Although I haven't actually gotten "the Boot" yet, I have been ignored on more than one occasion in Dis rooms. I don't think I'll be stopping by very many more in the future. I always say, "Hi" upon entering....

It's happened to me too. I have said "hello" to a roomful of people and not gotten a response. I'm sure it's nothing personal - the hi's and hello's seem to get lost in the conversation when everyone is chatting. I've noticed that when the rooms get full and the connection slows up, I end up missing a lot of the conversation.

I agree with Cami.. I too have been ignored on several occassions. Sometimes I'm acknowledged, sometimes I am not but I believe it's not intentional. At least I hope not

Same with getting booted from a dis room. I don't think anyone would intentionally boot you esp if you are from the dis and it is a "dis room". It had to be a mistake.

A surprise party was going on lastnight and several people were booted but signatures were checked first. Anyone who had "dis" in their signature was not booted as we wanted to make sure all dis people has access to the rooms. It's not a nice feeling getting booted or ignored.

I know sometimes I walk in and people are in the middle of conversations and sometimes they miss the hello or something. I have walked into Central Plaza, and have said Hi and nobody says hi, But I don't think it is intentional.

Sometimes I sit my butt down and start messing with my other PC, or if DW is on the other laptop, I am flipping windows on this PC.

Everyone here is always gracious and kind, I think sometimes this game may mess things up or chats are going so fast people miss things.

It may happen on more than one occassion, but I think until they figure different ways to improve the Chats, it will still be difficult...

Sometimes I am sending a message to someone and the texts wraps to the regular chat window which also makes it much more difficult because it is taking much longer to type....

I think Jellyrolls on another thread had it where there was another Chat window up and I think among Dis members that would be a great idea...

I know it is difficult when you walk into a Dis room or a lobby and nobody answers....I think once everyone starts recognizing names it will become easier...

Sometimes when I am in a room and there are alot of other people the post time is very very slow and I can say hi to someone and it takes so long for it to scroll across the screen that I am sure everyone wonders who hi is being said too....keep that in mind.

Also sometimes people go to their rooms so they can leave VMK for a minute or two without logging out. So although they are standing/sitting there they are not really there. So please do not be offended if someone does not answer you.
