Is there a car that will hold three booster seats in the rear seat (5, 6, & 8) other than a mini van? We are still in the process of deciding on driving or flying:confused3. Trip is scheduled for September 22 - 29 we are staying off property. If we drive then we will use our mini van which we have done before. But if we fly I would like to rent something smaller if possible.

Thanks

While it may not be the safest idea, it appears to me that Florida law does not require children 6 or over to be housed in a booster seat.

316.613 Child restraint requirements.—
(1)(a) Every operator of a motor vehicle as defined in this section, while transporting a child in a motor vehicle operated on the roadways, streets, or highways of this state, shall, if the child is 5 years of age or younger, provide for protection of the child by properly using a crash-tested, federally approved child restraint device. For children aged through 3 years, such restraint device must be a separate carrier or a vehicle manufacturer’s integrated child seat. For children aged 4 through 5 years, a separate carrier, an integrated child seat, or a seat belt may be used.

FL law allows kids 4+ to use seatbelts only with no booster or other seat. A seatbelt qualifies as a "restraint device."

You will have trouble getting three boosters across the back of a sedan. Even if you squeeze them in, you will have trouble accessing buckles and release buttons. Good luck.

You may be able to get by with a smallish SUV, but I don't know if they're much cheaper than a minivan. We have 3 kids and we always rent a minivan. I don't think there's enough room in the trunk of a sedan for all of our luggage, stroller, etc.

If you go to the websites for the car rental companies, they should show how many people and suitcases fit in each size car. That may help you.

Thanks for all the great responses. This is the first year without the strollers and baby stuff so I plan on traveling light. We were thinking of getting something smaller but I still want the kids to be safe. I did call a few companies last night. And they said that 3 boosters could fit in a full size sedan. Giving it some taught I think they are so used to having their own space I will get a van and save my mind.
