Booster Seats from Alamo

Hi,
So I saw a footnote that booster seats are available in limited quantities from Alamo. This had me panic a little....could they really say they don't have any for us to use? Our children are too big and old (6 1/2) for their version of a convertible child's seat (<40lb). Should I have a backup plan? I have it noted on my reservation (and online check in) that we need 2 booster seats. Has anyone had a problem? I'd rather not have to lug 2 booster seats from home to use for a 1 day car rental (we will ultimately be there for 8 days and only need a car to get off site the first 24 hours).

Yep. Even if alamo has boosters getting the bubblebums could be cheaper than the booster rental.

worse case, if they don't have any for you go directly to walmart or target and pick up a couple inexpensive ones.

Per day! Alamo booster seat is 9.99 per day each.

So depending on how long the trip is having something they own could be cheaper than something they rent.

eta - just realized you only need them for a day so I would probably take a chance unless you think the bubble bum will be useful in the future then I would maybe get one for the youngest to be sure.

Or just bring your boosters on the plane / gate check them. They can go in the overhead bins as a carry on item. They're not nearly as bad to carry as a full size car seat.

Or we have a mifold which is really nice to travel with. They go on sale from time to time which is when I grabbed ours.

For this trip.

My tall son used his BB for every trip with a rental car until he was around 8 and maybe older. He was actually just in the seat in our car at home, because he fit the seat and belt, for quite awhile. But in rentals it took longer for him to fit them.

Paid off very nicely to have the BB.
