Boost Immune System??

Thanks for all the info everyone. I guess I am just stuck doing what I am doing: daily multivitiman, add Vit-D and Zinc at first sign of an issue. I am also going to add a daily allergy pill for a few weeks and see if that does any good.

Otherwise, it looks like I am doing things right. I already wash/hand sanitize before I eat... I do touch my face a lot, especially when I am sitting at my desk at work. I will need to work on that. I will admit that I don't eat a ton of fruit (really not a big fan of sweet stuff) but I eat enough veggies & salads to make a rabbit jealous. :rotfl2: I work out 3 days a week and am not overweight. Hmmm...

Off to buy allergy meds and more Kleenex.

OP, I think you're just having one of those bad years. I think we can all sort of remember having a bad year where we got sick a lot and then YEARS go by and nothing. I remember the one year my best friend got a flu shot for the first time in her life and she spent the next 6 months combating 3 colds, an upper respiratory illness and just basically felt like crap. Of course, we like to joke and blame it on the flu shot, but realistically, she just had a bad year.

I've had good luck keeping the flu bug at bay by taking vitamin D3. And the nice thing about the sunshine vitamin is that it helps the bones, lessens winter blues (and I have a funny feeling this is going to be a looong winter), & heart issues. An article about D3 helping with infections from a physician.

Saw also some other tips on fighting the flu on the news today. I haven't tried any of these myself, but could be worth a try or two.

I'm sure you've read this but did you know that the suspect that the yearly flu outbreaks/epidemics in the winter months are actually due to Vitamin D deficiency and not just because it's "out there" circulating. They have done a few studies which are starting to demonstrate that a deficiency allows the influenza particles to replicate in the body.
