Hi we have reached our 11 month window for booking our holiday.

Can we book via website and email.

We are planning on staying at VWL and SSR.

SSR is our home resort, we are planning on staying at VWL first for 10 nights then SSR for the last 11 night.

Is it okay to book SSR for the whole trip then when it comes to the 7 month window can we change our arrangments.

Will this incur charges.

Thanks for any info you have.

That's what I would do.

For my trip in August we booked SSR (my home) at 11 months so we knew we had accommodation. Then at 7 months, we rang up every few days to switch the ressies to BWV. We did not incur any charges but the cost of points to stay at BWV (preferred view) is higher than SSR so we did have to borrow some points from next year :)

I would do the email / internet form to secure SSR booking for the entire length of your stay. Depending on how concerned you are about availability at your other resorts at 7 months either do the same (internet) or phone (some folks do it every day!) to be "first in the queue" at the 7 month mark to switch over the SSR days to VWL that you want. I would definitely book SSR first though so you know you have a room somewhere.

To be honest, we had a mix up with our booking and part of our BWV ressie got cancelled in error - and there was still availability 7-8 weeks before we were due to arrive so I'm never sure whether the scare stories about not being able to book other resorts at 7 months are as bad as we hear :)

But this is only based on my one experience of switching resorts at 7 months so hopefully others will chip in too!

I would do the same too :) Book SSR to put your mind at rest that you will have a room, then switch at 7 months for the nights you want to change.

There's no charge to do this (except I suppose it gives MS more work so we probably pay for it in our dues ;) ) and it means you get the 11 month advantage to secure a reservation with the 7 month flexibility to try for the reservation you really want.

I haven't used the e-mail request for booking as I'm always worried the e-mail will get lost/I'll be at the back of the queue after phone calls/etc. etc., but I don't have any grounds for thinking that!

Good luck with your plans :)
