Booking your Honeymoon

How did you book your non-disney honeymoon?? Well not really non-disney but not at the land or world. We are planning on booking at the Hawaiian resort Aulani!!! I just went online tonight and played around with the pricing that is out right now for the resort and we are looking to do 9nights at the hotel as it's our budget we were planning on right now

I know many don't have experience with the resort yet but how did you book your resort in Hawaii?? Like hotel, trasportation(which hopefully disney will have), flights, etc. I'm not sure if Disney does or will eventually provide a package of flights and hotel and such like they do here. I'm just trying to get an idea and the best way to book, if it's renting points, or booking online through disney, etc

Also does anyone have any advice flying to Hawaii from Florida??

I CAN'T WAIT!!!! The rates are out until Dec 2011 so soon it will be for June 2012 and it will feel soo real when we can book it!!

Were also doing a Hawaii honeymoon. We will be flying from Orlando on a Friday early morning and arriving around 5:00. It seems to me the best way to fly from FL to HI is to leave really early so you can get to HI at a reasonable hour. It is kind of annoying because we have to book all these one way flights!

We are not staying at the Disney hotel (I don't think it will be open yet when we are there), and we are just booking everything ourselves. The two resorts we are staying at we are booking directly through the resorts, and the flights we are booking through either Delta or Expedia. If Disney offers a package and that is the only resort you are staying at I think it would be worth looking into.

As far as transportation goes, we are renting on car on both islands we visit, and from the research I have done, it seems to be highly recommended to rent a car in Hawaii. We usually don't when we visit places, but decided that it will be worth it to do so in HI. If you plan on doing any attractions at all, I would think it would be easier to rent a car.

I have friends that just went to Hawaii on their honeymoon in June. They flew from Miami to LA nonstop, then from LA to the big island of Hawaii. When they were booking flights there were no direct to Hawaii from Miami because of refueling but their layover in LA was very quick. I think they said it was 2 hours.
