Booking WL around Christmas holidays

DH is wanting to book WL for a few days before Christmas (specifically 12/18-21). What is the likelihood of us getting a 1 bedroom there at the 7 month window?

Most years it would be quite a challenge. With all the construction at VWL this year, it could be a much better chance as many people are avoiding VWL for a while.

Agree. I think your odds will be fairly good though that is the beginning of the Christmas Crush season. Still, it's worth a try, and if it's not available, go on a waitlist. You didn't ask, but I will say that we recently stayed there, and though as a VWL "owner" I was saddened by all the construction that has reduced the "wilderness" a bit, it was still beautiful inside, the music was still lovely, the lanterns still flicker, and we had a great time.

Because the construction has chased some away, because you are seeking a 1BR which are usually the last to go, and because you want only three nights, you should have a decent chance to get the VWL BR for 12/18-21 and wait list should be attempted if not immediately available at 7 months out.

Are you sure you want to go there with the construction? It might not bother you, but just something to consider and be aware of.
