My wife and I are thinking of returning to wdw next September for a fortnight an as we love Epcot and have been to the dolphin resort a couple of times we thought maybe this time we'd try the boardwalk resort, think its called boardwalk inn or villas??
So I looked on the borgin website but no prices are coming up yet for the boardwalk resort. Dolphin is appearing and
Also about 15 other Disney resorts but not the boardwalk.
Any idea why? Is it just that we are looking too soon?

All it will be is different resorts and rooms are released at different times, and when your resort is up there your view preference may not be, don't know why thats just the way they do it.You will probably find that any 2013 offers will be released soon as the 2012 current offers end next week.If i remember correctly this years offers started coming out around April 2011.

I just did a quick dummy booking on the Virgin Holidays website - 9th Sep 2013 for 2 weeks, staying at Boardwalk Inn - £2898 per person with flights from Gatwick. So it is definitely there as an option.

If you have your heart set on the Boardwalk Inn, have you considered booking flights and seeing if you could rent DVC points to stay at Boardwalk Villas. Could be a cheaper alternative.

Virgin always release a preview brochure early on and the website reflects this with a limited number of hotels available

As a previous posted said the full brochure comes out around April time

If you want to stop at the Boardwalk you may want to wait and see if free Disney Dining is going to be offered again in 2013 as this will make a big saving on your pocket and is usually offered at a Disney Delux resort

Thanks for all the replies, all very helpful. I would defo like to stay at an Epcot resort, just not sure whick one yet. Although Dolphin is cheap, you don't get free Disney Dining and as you have said, that makes a big saving.
Our epcot resort options seem to be Boardwalk, Yacht Club or Beach Club. Anyone been to any of these?

I'll keep checking for the virgin brochure for 2013. How do I rent DVC points and how much does that cost?

I have been looking at Oct 2013, and I have tried many dummy bookings, and spotted that there is a major difference for 2013

It is not obvious to the masses, but if you try a dummy booking for Sept 2012, and then for Sept 2013, you will notice 2013 takes you to a NEW booking website different to 2012.

This is obvioulsy work in progress, as they do not yet allow you to book Park tickets either, unlike 2012.

The Prices are also about £1000 more than the same time in 2012, so One can assume, as said above, that all prices for hotels, and park tickets are just not available yet.

So, Virgin do not want to refuse your booking, that is bad business, but also do not want to sell cheaper than cost, so the easiest option seems to be, whack £1000 on the price to cover it

I suggest waiting until April, or May, then book, you will see more option on the website, and more realistic pricing.

I am waiting till October, to book for Oct 2013

i have really stryggled when trying to book on the virgin site before i put in my party details and it brings me up lots of rooms we dont fit in or ones that say sleep 4 with option to pay locallly for a 5th bed but when try book it it says we do not fit in the room, spent hours on that website and had no sucess at all
