My UY is March, when can i start booking at my home resort and when can I book at others? I was hoping to book for early Dec 2010. What are the chances of getting in ?

Can I book with borrowing points from 2011 at the same times?

still learning only bought in june 2009

Use year has nothing to do with when you can book.

For early December 2010, you can book at your home resort on the corresponding date in January 2010 (11 months). For example - a 12/5/10 check-in can be booked on 1/5/10 for up to 7 nights. For non-home resort, you would have to wait until May to book December (7 months).

Your 2010 use year would be for stays 3/1/10 to 2/28/11. So a December 2010 stay would be in your 2010 use year, so you can borrow 2011 points at the time of booking. You could also use any 2009 banked points.

DebbieB is correct. You just have to have the points available for the time you want to book. So if you are booking a Dec '10 reservation, you have to have all the points you need available for that time frame. It if means banking points or borrowing points, those would have to already be banked or borrowed. And you can borrow or bank at the time you make the reservation (as long as you aren't past your banking deadline for the year - before the last four months of your UY - before Nov 1, in your case)
