when your reservation window opens can you make reservations online anytime or does it wait until 7am or 8am before you can book. on the day my window opens i have to leave at 5am EST and was wondering if i can do it anytime after midnight

The next day doesn't start until the morning, not at midnight.

If you are booking online the booking window opens at 8am EST on the MS website at 7 months to the day. So you need to be online and ready to press the booking button right at 8am EST. MS booking phone line opens at 9am EST.
