Hi All

I am one of those annoying people who like to upset myself and check my holiday price after I have booked it!

I thought we had a good deal through Thomas Cook this year, which was over £700 less than VH, so I checked complete orlando just now and guess what... They can't beat it either, it is still over £100 less with TC!:cheer2: We usually avoid the travel agent thinking they can't beat anything we can get on the net, but this year we wanted the extra security as we are going in snowy season and it has so far paid off.

Just to say it is worth a try and will be one of our first checks next time.:goodvibes

That's ace!

I'm the same as you - I can't stop checking things even when they are booked. I like going through a travel agent for the peace of mind and lack of faffing I have to do, and I'm not too scared of negotating so I usually get a good price. I've booked with Thomson and got a price £800 less than what Virgin quoted me, then got them to knock off a further £100 when I went into the shop if I agreed to book there and then!!

I'm trying to just forget about it now so that I don't find an even better deal and annoy myself!

We got a price I was really happy with through negotiating with travel agents. The price we agreed was a whopping £1,500 less than the first quote from Virgin but we've still got all the benefits of booking through an agent. By playing off one against another we not only got a lower price but also got V lounge thrown in as an extra for booking on the day.

TC were by far the leader in low prices although Jetsave via Thomson were cheapest after some "discussion"
