Booking vacation

My husband and I (well mostly me ) are thinking that we should go to Disney World for vacation next year. Most likely in between September and November.

My question is when I'm booking online does it work like Universal's packages with a deposit down and balance due by such and such date?

I want to get the best deal possible, by booking at the right time... but if I need to have everything paid at booking, I may need to sell my first born and step-children before starting the process,

I am not sure how Universal works, but when you book a package through WDW the packages need to be paid in full by 45 days prior to your trip. Deposit on packages are 200.00 and for room only stays I believe deposit is one nights stay. Package rates for 2015 will be released sometime mid-summer. Hope this answers your question.

I'm super excited to start the planning process for next year's vacation. We're hoping to go at a time where we can celebrate our 2nd Anniversary (September) and DH's birthday (October).

For my daughter for graduation present, her and I spent a couple of days at Disney. Wow, that was 4 years ago. And my hubby was maybe 6 when he went. So we don't claim to have been to Disney yet LOL.

I'm sure I'll have tons of questions over the next year.

I think part of the vacation is planning, I love planning almost as much as I love the trip.

Just an FYI if a better deal comes out after booking, but before your vacation just call Disney and they will give you the better deal.
