Hi ! When booking a stay do you book online or call directly ? Also can you make payment like you can through Disney or is full payment required to reserve your stay ?

i only book by calling.
pay the first night deposit, then the rest when you check out of the hotel.

disney requires room only to be paid in full once you check in so the two resorts are not similar in payment.

I usually book online. If you book through Universal, you must pay $100 on a package or 1 night on room-only. If you book somewhere like Cheaptickets, you can get a nice discount, but you typically pay the whole thing when booking.

ETA: if you book a package, they charge the balance 45 days out. It is usually cheaper to book components, so run the numbers before booking.

I have booked online and through Dreams Unlimited. The deposit is first nights stay. I do like that DU watches for new specials that could reduce my rate and then adjust the reservation. Saves me the work.

I called to get some questions answered, but really they show everything available and prices on-line so I ended up booking it on-line. I am glad I called though because they told me about the Military discount and gave me the code "MIL" so I could search using that discount as well.

you did good as mil discount can only be applied by booking over the phone.
MIL is listed on the website as a valid discount for rooms.

The MIL code worked on-line and I was able to book the discounted rate on-line (without calling). Granted we will have to show ID to prove it. So I'm not sure what you mean by "mil discount can only be applied by booking over the phone".

At one time the website said to call for mil rates
If that has changed so be it
Glad you got s sweet rate!
