I am helping a friend book their trip. They will need two rooms, one for them and one for his MIL.

Should they book two rooms under the same name? I was thinking if they got a PIN code, and the rooms were under separate names/reservations, then the PIN code could only be applied to the one room... but if the rooms were together on the same reservation the PIN could be applied to both rooms. Is that right?

In order to book two rooms under the same reservation, do you have to call? I don't see that option online.

TIA

When I booked ours last year I booked it in my Mums name as she had a PIN so she was the 'primary' account but they then asked for all names staying in the second room. I phoned, I just always find it easier to call :)

The PIN was used for both rooms.

You cannot book multiple rooms with the same name. Disney recognizes that as booking multiple rooms and then deciding later which one you want and canceling the others. So the system will not allow it.

You can however "link" reservations; they will still each have a separate reservation number.

However, you are allowed to book up to three rooms with a pin. When you book the rooms, "link" the reservations. Whoever gets the pin calls and applies it to both reservations.

Easy peasy!
