Booking tomorrow or Tuesday

We're heading into AAA tomorrow or Tuesday to I guess book a room only reservation. If we get a good pin or offer before December, I am going to switch to a package but otherwise I am considering going with AAA for the room and maybe UT for tickets. I can only talk my fellow travelers into DDP if we can get it for free. I'm not going to have any problems changing my room only to a package later am I?

No problem at all. A lot of people book room only and then when packages are announced they switch over if a better deal comes along.
