Booking today for November!! :) Few questions..

Hey Guys!!

Check out my ticker!!
It's offical i'm going back to DLP on 18th November with my friend Lauren.

We are booking and paying for it today when we have lunch! Im so excited!!
Ive never been to DLP when the Christmas decorations are up!
What can i expect to be different at Christmas time?
Have i heard somewhere that they do snow on Main Street?
Do they have the Fantillusion parade at Christmas?
What are the park opeing hours like?
Does anyone know if there are kids holidays on the week of 18th November?
We are hoping to avoid any busy periods!!

We are staying at the Cheyenne. We've not stayed here before so will be interesting to see what it is like. My aim is to stay at all the hotels at DLP!
So after next trip will only have Newport Bay, New York and the pink palace to go!!

I'm really looking forward to seeing all the 20th anniversary celebrations and decorations aswell.

I'm sure I will have more questions to come but this is all i can think of now.

Christmas at Disney is awesome, we went last year and loved it!

What can i expect to be different at Christmas time?

Santa's in the parade and most of the decorations should be up by then. Also IASW has a makeover but that seems to take them quite a while to do so not sure if it'll be open when you go.

Have i heard somewhere that they do snow on Main Street?

Yep

Do they have the Fantillusion parade at Christmas?

Not sure, they did last year.

What are the park opeing hours like?

Going from the park hours up on DLRPMagic the parks should be open until 7 most nights, slightly later at the weekend.

Does anyone know if there are kids holidays on the week of 18th November?

AFAIK English children are in school then. Not sure about Welsh/Scottish/European

Well normally the castle is covered in twinkly lights. But I'm not quite sure whether they will be able to do that this year, as Dreams in projected onto the Castle so may not work when it's covered in a curtain of lightbulbs. I don't know, they may be able to do both - that would be great!

The eurostar was fine we booked that seperatly and was very easy and straight forward and got the confirmation email though very quickly. Happy.

Then it came to booking the hotel/park tickets. Well never in my life have i dealt with such a rude travel agent!
We booked through ulookubook as they were the cheapest we found. But the girl on the phone was soo rude u would not beleive. Not friendly not polite and very abrupt with me. When i asked about the Disney Express she didnt know what i was talking about. She must of put me on hold about 10 different times. When she finally established what the disney express was she said yep thats fine we will add that. So i thought yep good no problem.
Then we paid for it all etc and she said i would receive confirmation email in 15 mins. Lovely. 1 hour later still no email. Rang back and got "all emails have been sent check your junk box". Right ok, checked junk box, no email. So i though right il see if get it in morning. By 3pm today still no email. Rang then again. "oh your email address is wrong. i'll resend all". This girl was also rude and abrupt. Well i got the email through with the documents and there is nothing on there at all which say about the Disney Express!! Not happy Well emailed them asking about it and still waiting for a reply 1 hour later.
Has anyone else dealt with this company when booking stay at DLP?
Hopefully it will be sorted for me

Oh dear, that's a shame. Hope they get it sorted for you. Were they much cheaper than booking through DLP directly?

it did work out bout £100 cheaper than through disney, but tbh its been so much hassle im starting to wish i had not gone with this company in the first place!!
Oh well leson learnt!!

I asked them whether the castle would be lit and they seemed to have ignored that part of my question but I don't see why France can't light the castle just because of Dreams.. I mean in WDW they have Magic Memories and You projected onto the castle and they have a bazillion more lights on that castle than the pics I've seen of the Paris castle.

I asked on the Disney Paris facebook page and was told Fantillusion isn't on but Dreams is. I'm kinda disappointed Fantillusion isn't on. I don't mind Mickey's Winter Wonderland not being on because I saw that in 2003 unless they've changed it. Disappointed Small world will probably be closed as well because it's one of my favourite rides (big baby that I am ) Hoping the castle will be lit be lit he didn't answer that question.

6th til the 10th because I want to see some Christmas stuff I'll only have tickets for disney three days because getting them from attraction tickets direct they have a deal at the mo 3 days for price of two.

I had forgotten that WDW must have managed to do Magic, Memories and You on top of the light curtain on the Castle. So hopefully I was worrying for nothing! I don't know if DLP has less lights on it these days, but the castle used to be covered. WDW stole our idea!

I really hope they do light up the castle. The one in WDW is out of this world amazing lit up!

another of my random questions. I know characters appear at the hotels. Is there a set time for this to happen or is it just randomly and also can guests that aren't staying in Disney hotels go to meet them there?

It tends to happen in the mornings and at 4pm in the DLH on Fri-Sun. Anyone can go into the hotels even if you are not staying there.
