I have booked through Walt Disneyworld US site in the past no problem as sometimes the offers on there work better for my family. Now when I try to view/book on US site it just reverts back to the UK site. Is it no longer allowed to book on US site if you are UK resident? Anyone done this lately?

you can still book on the US site, but the website has been updated (for the "my disney experience" thingy)
many UK users revert to the UK website, and there are a lot of threads around here dealing with this issue

many guests have found success going through the Spanish version (at the bottom left of the page)
hope it works for you or someone comes up with another workaround.

I can confirm that in France I still have access to the US website (current free dining from fall 2013) but it seems that UK ISPs use redirections.
I don't think it's a disney thing, it's more an ISP thing. The idea is that, if there are 2 sites for the same company, it's better for UK visitors to access the UK site. So you're automatically redirected ... which causes issue when you really want to go on the US site ..

I did the Spanish thing when I wanted to book, also you can book through dreams unlimited, a US travel agent and thy don't charge you any extra then what Disney charge,
They then constantly look for when Disney bring out a better deal or any discounts like room/free DDP and then apply it for you!

We have booked with them this yr because we only decided to go in June to Disney with our friends,
We was way to late for anything decent from disney UK travel, and so I called dreams,

They wanted around £3000 less then what Disney UK wanted to charge me, and now free DDP ha just come out for the US peeps or room discount, so.......

My TA called up and got us free DDP for 14 nights plus the room discount for the 1st night as we are doing 15 nights,

I'm
Soooo happy as it meant the price came down so much!! :)

I managed to book on the us disney site - usually can get on via spanish.

It is a pain though :)

I just booked a few nights at POR through the US site

I wanted to book direct in case any future room discounts or AP rates become available - that way I can just get any new discounts applied to my current booking by calling them. Providing of course the discounted rooms haven't sold out before I call
